Trustees to the Mid and South Canterbury Community Trust are appointed by The Minister of Finance for an initial term of four years. The Minister has power to extend this appointment by a further period of four years.
The Trust’s objective is to financially assist non-profit and charitable organisations in the Mid and South Canterbury district, for cultural philanthropic and recreational purposes.
To ensure that its donation objectives are achieved, The Trust has the responsibility to manage its investment portfolio both prudently and in a professional manner, and to maintain the real value of The Trust’s assets.
Peter O’Leary is the current Chairperson of the Trustees. Liz Shea is the Chief Executive Officer of the Trust, Clive Callow, the Community Relations Manager and Sally Marsh is the Administration Officer.
