COMMUNITY TRUST OF MID & SOUTH CANTERBURY INC

The Trustees of the Community Trust of Mid & South Canterbury Inc have adopted interim measures in order to carry out their duty to protect the intergenerational Trust Fund that has been affected by the global economic downturn.

Last time New Zealand experienced an economic downturn, the Trust suffered a substantial loss. It took many years to recover during which time the Trust was unable to approve many applications for assistance.

Administrative cost saving measures have been put in place but fund seekers may also be affected. While the Trust will continue to accept applications, any applications for capital projects will now be afforded a low priority. This decision will be reviewed regularly.
