Mid and South
Canterbury: A profile
In 2002 the Community Trust of Mid & South
Canterbury (The Trust) commissioned research to
describe the community it serves. The aims of the
study were to;
- obtain and collate information to
provide a social, economic and demographic
profile of the region,
- identify social needs
- consider the services and facilities
needed to address those needs,
- suggest tangible indicators of
improvement that could be used in the longer
term.
The focus is on people, their health, skills and
abilities, and the systems that build healthy
connections between people such as family,
neighbourhoods, clubs and voluntary service.
The research brings together in one document, for
the first time, data and information about our
region that we hope will be valuable to a wide range
of groups and organisations.
If you wish to obtain a copy of the research, you
can download it using the links below, or you can
contact the Trust Office. Copies are $15 each,
inclusive of GST.
